The alloy is corrosion resistant to most corrosive media in both oxidized and reduced states. Resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy is suitable for chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The high molybdenum and chromium content make the alloy resistant to chloride ion erosion, and the tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy C-276 is one of the materials that is resistant to moisture, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. This alloy has good corrosion resistance to high-concentration chloride solutions (such as ferric chloride and copper chloride).
Tensile strength: σb≥730Mpa,
Elongation: δ≥40%,
Hardness: HRB≤100
Hastelloy C-276 metallographic structure:
The alloy has a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Hastelloy C-276 process performance and requirements:
1. The lower the sulfur content in thermal processing fuel, the better. The sulfur content in natural gas should be less than 0.1%, and the sulfur content in heavy oil should be less than 0.5%.2. The thermal processing temperature range of the alloy is 1200℃~950℃, and the cooling method is water cooling or rapid air cooling.3. Suitable for traditional welding processes, such as tungsten electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal pole inert gas shielded welding, and melting pole inert gas shielded welding.
